Here the kittens are at 5 weeks old. Finally they are starting to look like little Somalis, instead of just tiny kittens (or gnomes or whatever people think they look like).
This is Misty. They are trying very hard to climb up on the cat furniture. I put the kittens on this cat tree so they would have a hard time running away, and it would be easier to take pictures. Well, that was the plan . . .
Here is Santa. He wasn't quite sure how he got up here, or how to get down. The kittens are quite brave and will jump from higher places than I think they should!
The kitten looking up is Holly. I think she looks a lot like her dad, Zoom. Well, at least so far! They will change so much in the next several weeks, it's really hard to know what they will look like.
Here's Holly again, and Misty in the back. Holly has food all over her chin. At this age, the kittens put much more of their faces in the food bowl than is necessary. She hasn't figured out how to clean off her chin yet, so her mom has to come along and do it. Holly is positively fearless, and runs to see or try something new.

6 1/2 weeks old already! They grow so fast! At this age they are more interested in chasing each other, and their mom, and playing with toys, than with people - unless the people have toys! They are also doing very well with food, although they still corner their mom for a sip from the milk bar.
This is Holly. At this point, she is really hard to photograph because she's in constant motion, always running. She's the most fearless and the most busy, and also the most colorful. She looks much like her dad, Zoom, did at this age.

Unfortunately, all the other shots of Holly came out blurry, since she wouldn't hold still . . . Hopefully next photo shoot we'll have better luck.
We did much better with photos of Misty, above and below. Misty is becoming such a pretty girl. She likes to play with furry mice, carry them around, toss them in the air and growl at the other kittens if they get too close to her toy. Below left is her profile shot.
Above is Misty on the left, with her brother Sandy to the right.
Finally, here's Sandy (Santa Claws), the only boy in the litter. He loves to pounce on his sisters and roll around on the floor wrestling with them. He loves to climb on the cat trees.
The kittens have discovered "intereactive" toys - like the leather strings hanging from a stick to the right. Until this week they didn't even seem to see them dangling right in front of them, but now they are having a great time.

It's hard to believe the babies are now more than 7 weeks old! They grow so fast at this stage, I try to get photos every week so we have a photographic record of how they have changed.
This is Sandy. He is moving so fast now (and has such a short attention span) that it was very difficult to get photos at all. So only 2, above and below, for this time, hopefully more later. We think he has a very pretty face.
Here's Misty. She too was very busy running about, and most of her shots were blurry from motion.
Finally, here's Holly. Unlike last week, Holly decided it might be fun to have her picture taken, so she gave me several quite nice photos this week.
Holly looks more like her dad every day! Her color is coming in much faster than his did.
All of the kittens purr while Serena is nursing them. Today, for the first time, all 3 of them purred for me while I was petting them. They are such happy little babies, always have their tiny tails in the air.
